Run San Diego! And Grab Some Coffee too!

Bay Views All Day Long- by Carmina Stremlau, IMS2023 MP3 Committee

San Diego has the best weather for you to enjoy a walk or run along the waterfront.  Want a nice 4-5 mile out and back with bay views? You can start from the bayside of the San Diego Convention Center and go northwest along the Embarcadero past Seaport Village, USS Midway Museum, and Waterfront Park.  For the long distance runner, you can extend with an additional 3 mile loop around Harbor Island. Just turn left on Harbor Island Drive to travel past the Sheraton, Tom Ham’s, and Coasterra before looping back to the Convention Center.  If you have more time in San Diego, you can also visit the beaches and inland canyons for more great hikes and runs. Check out https://greatruns.com/location/san-diego-california/  for a list of beach runs and trail runs.

San Diego Coffee Delights- by Carmina Stremlau, IMS2023 MP3 Committee

One of my must have’s in the morning is coffee! A small dark roast with room for cream.  But at a tradeshow, its caffeine all day long.   Here are some great coffee choices for you to enjoy in San Diego.

Skipped the hotel coffee? Grab a cup of Starbucks at various locations in the San Diego Convention Center.  Or try local favorite HOB Coffee (.7mile walk from convention center) and enjoy one of their many NitroBrews and award winning avocado toast. www.hobcoffee.com .  Want the best matcha latte with overnight oats? Go to Blue Bottle Coffee Lab (.9 mile from convention center)  www.bluebottlecoffee.com and for those who wish to be in Hawaii again, go to Lani’s Coffee (.7 mile from convention center) where you can sip a nice Hawaiian roasted coffee or fresh juice and bagels. https://www.lanicoffeesd.com/ .  See a colleague in the coffee line behind you? Say hello and offer to treat them to a nice cup of coffee.
