PCM-Based Tunable RF Circuits

Innovative PCM circuits and switches will be presented in this presentation. The presentation will cover switches and switch circuits. A DPDT integrated switch with less than 1dB loss and more than 25dB isolation at 28GHz will be presented, using integrated microstrip transmission lines. A new ultra-compact tuner circuit will also be presented, for post fabrication tuning of active circuits. A first circuit has been fabricated and tested using a lumped L-C circuit, combined with bi-stable PCM circuits. The demonstration is done at 5GHz, and it is shown that the size of the tunable circuit is fully comparable to the size of the fixed version circuit.
