Microwaves in Climate Change
There has never been a time when global resource and climate monitoring were more necessary. In this talk we take a very broad look at some of the microwave techniques and instruments that have traditionally played a major role in the field of resource management and in activities related to documenting and understanding climate change or mitigating its impacts. Satellite and ground-based remote sensing, heating, chemical catalysis, biofuels and biochar, power beaming, and plasma fusion are highlighted.
