Sharp Filtering using Sampling Aliases: Basics, Benefits, and Challenges
Contrary to popular belief, sampling aliases are not terrible things to be avoided at all costs. They can, in fact, be cleverly exploited to provide sharp linear filtering. This talk will introduce the basics of this "filtering by aliasing" technique, and its successful application to realize agile RF front-ends and spectrum scanners with some of the best reported blocker suppression, linearity, and power consumption. The talk will discuss outstanding challenges and exciting opportunities presented by the technique.
