ISAC as a Platform
Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) promises an intriguing capability that is a potentially transformative platform technology. At its core, ISAC can identify and track objects, whether RF silent or not, and phenomena over large areas at potentially lower cost than competing technologies. Recognizing that there are several approaches to achieving this sensing function, this talk will address how ISAC can be transformative for commercial and governmental purposes. It will also consider the challenges associated with representing the data in a way that situates ISAC as a platform rather than a technology.
