Toward an Ecosystem of Wireless Energy from Earth to Space and Back

In this talk we will discussed the principles of wireless energy transfer at distance. We will review its implications and practical implementation for applications on earth and in space. We will review Caltech’s Solar Power Project (SSPP) and discuss the results of Caltech’s MAPLE experiment in space, where wireless energy transfer in orbit was demonstrated for the first time in the harsh environment of space.
