History of Linearizer Technology, Inc.
Dr. Allen Katz's illustrious career spans over five decades, marked by significant contributions to electrical and computer engineering. Joining Trenton State College, now the College of New Jersey (TCNJ), in 1971, Dr. Katz was instrumental in establishing the School of Engineering, merging hands-on learning with rigorous technical training. His dedication to education is reflected in the mentorship of over 2,000 students and his advisory role in numerous senior projects.
Dr. Katz's professional achievements extend beyond academia. He served as a consultant for RCA in 1976 through its incarnation as Lockheed Martin to 2007 and founded Linearizer Technology in 1991, a company that has become a vital employment pipeline for TCNJ graduates. His pioneering work in linearization earned him multiple awards, including the IEEE MTT-S Application Award in 2015.
A ham radio enthusiast, Dr. Katz co-founded the Trenton Computer Festival in 1976, the world's longest-running technical fair. His legacy is one of innovation, mentorship, and a profound impact on both the academic and professional engineering communities.
