Inter-Satellite Optical Wireless Communication Systems

Inter-satellite optical wireless communication (IsOWC) is the future of satellite communications as OWC supports high data rates (high capacity), highly secure links, and less susceptibility to interference from other satellites. The main challenges, again, are atmospheric loss and laser alignment. This talk will cover the latest advancements in this field and review coherent optical links used in IsOWC.
