Transceiver Techniques for FDD and Full-Duplex Wireless
The growing demand for high-data-rate transmission in modern wireless communication systems has motivated broadband wireless technologies to support increased channel capacity. This talk will present various approaches to integrating more channels on the same transceiver by using full duplex (FD) or frequency division duplex (FDD) solutions. The methods of self-interference cancelation implementation and limitations in the RF and digital domains will be discussed, especially for wideband channels using digital cancelation techniques. In addition, new integrated circuit design architectures that target tunable filter, diplexer solutions for FDD systems and mm-Wave phased arrays for 5G will be presented. These solutions include high TX power, Reciprocal mixing due to phase noise and VSWR change mitigations.
