Integrated Self-Interference Cancellers at RF for Communication and Radar

Simultaneous Transmit and Receive (STAR) technologies, including full-duplex and frequency division duplexing techniques introduce the critical challenge of self-interference (SI) from TX to RX. In this talk, I will describe SI cancellation techniques that address this challenge at RF and mm-wave, focusing on dual-path cancellers that relax noise/linearity trade-offs in canceller design, MIMO self-interference cancellers that address cross-talk challengers, cancellers that exploit radar signal properties to achieve wideband cancellation and spatial beamforming approaches that can be extended for MIMO interference nulling.
