Ultra-Wide Bandwidth Distributed Amplifier Topologies in CMOS RFSOI and SiGe for High Speed Wireline Applications
This talk will present novel distributed amplifier topologies including the cascaded multi-drive inter-stacked and intra-stacked design which achieved >33dB gain, 102GHz bandwidth and 4.5THz Gain-Bandwidth Product resulting in >200GbE data-rates. Also, advanced SiGe distributed amplifiers in GF9HP+ will be presented with >120GHz bandwidth, 4V peak-to-peak drive, and achieving 120Gbaud PAM4 with <2.5pJ/bit. The techniques developed apply both to CMOS RFSOI and to SiGe distributed amplifiers and can lead to >150GHz bandwidth in the new processes.
