Design Techniques for Wideband High-Efficiency Integrated Power Amplifiers in FR1/FR3 Bands
This talk presents several practical and theoretical approaches for the design of wideband, high-efficiency power amplifiers in integrated technologies. The materials will focus on the matching network synthesis techniques and circuit architectures (Differential, Doherty, …) that enable high efficiency across extended bandwidths. Several matching strategies are presented, highlighting tradeoffs among bandwidth, loss, complexity, and integration feasibility in RFIC implementations. The discussed techniques will be demonstrated through several circuit realizations in SOI-CMOS and GaN technologies targeting the FR1 and FR3 bands.
