Radiation Effects on CMOS RF/Analog Circuits and Mitigation Techniques

Space electronics is a key application where radiation effects are a concern. First, an overview will be given on the types of radiation and the associated effects and failure mechanisms on CMOS devices and circuits. Next, RF and analog design techniques will be described to overcome these effects using standard CMOS processes. Finally, example state-of-the-art radiation hardened RFIC implementations will be described.
