Advances in Vector Network Analyzer Measurements with Broadband 100kHz to 250GHz Single Sweep Systems
Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) have evolved significantly over time. Today, it is possible to perform a single sweep from as low as 100kHz to 250GHz with the latest NA5307A Frequency Extender by Keysight. This capability enables numerous applications and simplifies measurement setups, transitioning from three separate extenders (eg 1mm, D-band, H-band) to a single module with a 0.5mm connector interface. This presentation discusses recent advances in measurement capabilities up to 250GHz single sweep, including the introduction of the 0.5mm coaxial interface and calibration techniques. Additionally, we will present recent work in multiport calibration that compensates for crosstalk, as well as advanced measurements utilizing frequency offset capabilities such as harmonic distortion analysis and other applications that benefits from single sweep up to 250GHz.
