From Qubits and Spins to Beams: Quantum and Quantum-Inspired Combinatorial Optimization in Electromagnetics

Recently, significant advances in Quantum Computing (QC) algorithms and hardware have provided a novel paradigm for solving difficult computational problems. In the workshop, we will discuss quantum-assisted and quantum-inspired algorithms for combinatorial optimization problems in electromagnetics and microwave applications. Those include (i) optimization of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces in smart electromagnetic environments, (ii) conformal array synthesis and optimization, and (iii) routing and IC floor planning in VLSI design.
