Flexible, Linear and Low-Noise RF-DACs from FR1-to-FR3: A Solution for the Next G

RF-DACs are rapidly becoming the backbone of software defined radios. They are heavily deployed in industrial solutions such as RF-SOC FPGAs from AMD/Alterra and highly digital front-ends like the ADI MXFE. In this talk, several underlying architectures will be presented for implementation of the RF-DAC. This will include extensions for multi-mode/multi-band operation. Both analog and digital methods to improve both linearity and out-of-band noise will be presented.
