Industry Perspective: Quantum Computing at Google

In this talk I will give an Industry perspective on fault-tolerant quantum computing development by reviewing Google’s approach to building a useful quantum computer. I will discuss our roadmap to a fault tolerant machine based on the surface code, and highlight milestone experiments of the past several years. I will also discuss emerging challenges as we scale to larger systems, and how microwave and electronics engineering is key to meeting these challenges.
