Development of 10:1 Bandwidth (2.5–25GHz) Silicon Beamformers and Phased Arrays for 6G and Multi-Band SATCOM Applications
This talk will present a novel quad-pole vector modulator/phase-shifter with very low gain and phase error, which has led to the development of ultra-wideband phased arrays at 2.5–25GHz (and 3–30GHz). These phased arrays can be used for 6G and for multiband NTN networks, such as S/C/X/Ku and Ka-band SATCOM. Details of the 8-channel BFIC (beamformer IC) and accompanying phased array will be presented, together with system level measurements at different frequencies.
