Real Aperture Low-Noise Radiometers for Earth Observation

This presentation introduces several real aperture microwave radiometer instrument architectures used in European Space Agency (ESA) Earth Observation missions for meteorology and altimetry. Practical examples include the conical scanner Microwave Imager Instrument on MetOp Second Generation (MetOp-SG) and the non-scanning multi-beam Microwave Radiometer Instrument on Copernicus Sentinel 3 Next Generation Topography.
