Design, Architecture, and Performance of Low-Noise Receiver Front-Ends

The presentation addresses the design and performance of low-noise receiver front-ends for satellite space missions, with emphasis on microwave and mm-wave frequency bands. Key topics include noise figure minimization, linearity trade-offs, dimensional requirements versus packaging and thermal constraints in space-qualified hardware. Experimental results from recent industrial developments will be presented, highlighting measured performance and qualification requirements. The talk concludes with perspectives on future receiver front-end architectures enabling next-generation satellite mission systems.
