Recent Advances in the Design of Low-Noise Receiver Systems for Satellite Space Missions

This presentation explores recent advances in the design of low-noise receiver systems for satellite space missions, focusing on microwave and mm-wave implementations. Attention will be given to noise modeling, circuit topologies, and innovative techniques for minimizing noise contributions across receiver subsystems. Measurement results from laboratory prototypes will be discussed and compared with state-of-the-art benchmarks, providing insight into fundamental design trade-offs. The presentation concludes with an outlook on emerging research directions and opportunities for collaboration between academia and industry in next-generation space communication systems.
