Power Amplifier Fundamentals and Figures of Merit

This talk will cover microwave Power Amplifier (PA) fundamental concepts, figures of merit and design procedures. Load line theory, the power match condition, and traditional classes of operation (A, AB, B, C) will be introduced. A PA design approach based on the power match condition will be defined which enables a practical PA design procedure based on measured transistor data.
