Designing Large-Scale Superconducting-Qubit Devices with Circuit Analysis and Electromagnetic Simulation
Recent progress on scaling up superconducting qubits requires us to systematically design the circuit layout while evaluating its large-scale performance. This talk explores how to design and evaluate the quantum parameters by using the engineering tools for microwave design; circuit analysis and electromagnetic simulation. We will explain how to incorporate muiti-port microwave network analysis to analyze quantum device parameters including qubit-qubit coupling and drive-line crosstalk while giving our tileable superconducting qubit chip as an example. We will also outline our laboratory workflow of designing and fabricating superconducting qubit devices.
