I AM IMS Image

Doris Chan, Technical Staff Member, AttoTude, Inc.

I AM ...an RF Microwave IC designer innovating energy efficient products for data center and AI.

What made you want to work in this industry?
I am interested in RF microwave circuit design which inspires me to do innovation and make research impact beyond the lab to product.  My primary technical areas are SiGe Linear RF amplifier, Gilbert Mixer, VCO, Frequency Multiplier for airborne defense electronic system such as the F-35.  My graduate research study focused on the power amplifier design for wireless communication and CMOS device modeling for the RF microwave area.  I am a technical staff at AttoTude which is enabling breakthroughs in ultra-fast data communication transceiver circuit design.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Working in RF microwave circuit design at ultrafast frequency applications is an exciting choice due to the intersection of electronics and photonics, representing a relatively untapped area of the electromagnetic spectrum.  This makes it a thrilling opportunity for innovation and discovery with smaller, faster energy efficient circuit design for data center communication and AI application.

What are you most excited about for IMS?
I am excited to see an extensive exhibition where companies showcase their latest technologies, products and services.  Also, being part of IMS allows me to connect to the community that is passionate about advancing technology and solving global challenges through RF and microwave innovations.
