I AM...a Research Scientist
What made you want to work in this industry?
Growing up in the era of landlines and wired networks, I was captivated by the idea of voices, pictures and stories floating on invisible signals across space to one's families and friends. Microwave engineering felt like the world where imagination met physics; where one wireless device, the mobile phone, could change the lives of billions across the globe.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I love watching ideas turn from equations into something people can hold and use. Working in industrial research gives me the chance to collaborate with experts across many fields, combining perspectives to solve problems that, in the beginning, seems impossible. I also find a lot of joy in guiding younger engineers and watching them grow into confident creators.
What are you most excited about for IMS2026? IMS is more than a conference. It is a reunion of people who share the same passion. I look forward to the hallway conversations as much as the technical sessions, because those spontaneous exchanges often spark the brightest ideas. For IMS2026, I am especially excited to see our community expand into new domains such as quantum computing, and to reconnect with colleagues who inspire me year after year
